HACLA Commissioners Join CEO, Senior Staff and Developers on a Walk-through of the New Dana Strand Phase IV

HACLA hosted this month's Board of Commissioners Meeting at Dana Strand Senior Apartments, in Wilmington. Prior to the Board Meeting, HACLA Commissioners, CEO, Senior Staff and developers gathered for a walkthrough of Vista del Mar and Camino del Mar sites located across the street from the Dana Strand Senior Apartments.

Vista del Mar and Camino del Mar comprise the fourth and final phase of the New Dana Strand Revitalization project that includes 176 service-enhanced, affordable homes, and approximately 35,000 square feet of open and recreational space. HACLA provided 174 Project-Based Vouchers, and a 67-year capitalized ground lease loan. Adobe Communities and Mercy Housing are master developers of this site.

Some of the on-site amenities include: landscaped courtyards with playgrounds, computer stations, secure bicycle parking, and resident center. Eligible families are scheduled to move into their brand new homes by the end of April.
