June 9, 2016 - Fourteen Section 3 Residents participated in training classes offered by Xerox Corporation. The trainings are designed to introduce Section 3 Residents to careers in printing industry as well as provide them general customer services skills. The trainings were held on June 8 and 9 at Pueblo Del Rio public housing site. Topics of discussion included professional dress code guidelines, body language, telephone and customer service etiquette, as well as introduction to Xerox services, products, general overview of the printing industry and various careers in the field from sales representatives to graphic design and press technicians.

The second phase of the training will be more focused on technical skills as the qualified trainees proceed to Operator Training with Light Maintenance session.

Trainees who show interest and aptitude will receive additional support to secure employment through registration with a Xerox 3rd party employment agency.
