HACLA Hosts Census 2020 Outreach Event at San Fernando Gardens

On Thursday, September 3rd, San Fernando Gardens held a Census 2020 Outreach Event at its Community Center. With help from Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office, LAPD Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and MEND with on-the-spot Census completion, an additional 17 households were counted! Participants enjoyed fun games, prizes and ice cream – a welcome treat on a hot summer day!

With the last day to complete the Census rapidly approaching on September 30th, all hands have been on deck for a final push, encouraging individuals to complete their Census. Only occurring once every decade, the Census will have a lasting effect on our communities for the next 10 years.

Additional Census outreach events continue now through the end of the month.
